Join us for a fun, six-week project right here in Maltby! Take part in creative activities, learn new skills and be part of the Children's Capital of Culture Heritage Project.

Are you aged 11–16 and want to try something new?

Come and join us for a fun, creative project right here in Maltby!

Over 6 weeks, you’ll:

  • Work with a professional artist to design a flag that represents young people in Maltby.
  • Relaunch The Maltibian – Maltby’s original youth magazine from the 1950s, by creating a brand-new edition.
  • Try out creative activities, have opportunities to learn new skills and be part of the Children's Capital of Culture Heritage Project.

These events have been created as part of Children’s Capital of Culture’s Heritage Producer Project.

When: 12th, 19th, 26th January & 2nd, 9th, 16th February 2026, from 16:30 to 18:00

Where: Maltby Library, Maltby Leisure Centre, Braithwell Rd, Maltby, Rotherham S66 8JE

Who: This project is open to 11- 16 year-olds
