15 November: Big House | Short Films: An Interactive Film Festival

Someone stood behind a camera

You are invited to Wentworth Woodhouse on Saturday 15 November for Big House | Short Films!

During Big House | Short Films, young filmmakers from South Yorkshire challenge stereotypes and share personal takes on what heritage means to them. Expect a mix of powerful short films, creative installations, and opportunities to interact with the filmmakers themselves.

Perception Busters is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to work with young people to learn film making skills and produce films busting heritage myths. Big House | Short Films is part of the Children’s Capital of Culture festival year and is funded by Children’s Capital of Culture UK shared prosperity funding.

Due to the age and nature of the House, some areas are only accessible via stairs and there are some uneven surfaces. A staff member or volunteer will accompany visitors using the lift.

For queries, contact info@wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk. All films will have captions/subtitles, and any interactive experiences will be audio described.
