Activity of the month!

Summer music camp

Rotherham Music Summer Camp

Oakwood High School, Moorgate Rd, Rotherham S60 2UH

Thursday 24 and Friday 25 July, 10:00am until – 3:00pm each day

KS2-plus students are invited to a two-day Arts Award accredited camp where they can learn up to four different disciplines.

£22 single day or £40 both days

Ages 4 to 11

A free reading programme encouraging children to read six or more books over the summer. Includes weekly themed craft activities like seed growing, rock painting, and lantern making.

Library clubs and sessions

  • Makerspace: After-school club for ages 6 to 12 to design, create, and experiment.
  • Rhyme Time: Stories, rhymes, and songs for babies and preschoolers.
  • Lego Club: Weekly Lego fun for all ages.
  • Mini Melodies: Music and movement sessions with Rotherham Music.
  • Chatter Books: Book club for ages 7–11 with games, crafts, and competitions.
  • Fun Palaces: Community-led creative events — anyone can join in!

Nelson's Cub Club

Clifton Park Museum and Boston Castle.

Various dates from July to September.

Ages 1–4

Explore museum objects through stories, songs, and play. Free sessions with snacks included. No booking required.
