The role, requirements, and fee
Role
- Plan, resource and deliver visual arts workshops with children and young people.
- Through this co-production process, design and finalise 4 signs ready for Eastwood fun festival.
- Ensure that planning and creation involves children and young people as genuine co-producers throughout, including identifying appropriate opportunities for children and young people to take a lead on the creation of the signs.
- Ensure all materials used for the signs are durable, long-lasting, and safe.
- Work collaboratively with the Children’s Capital of Culture Engagement team to effectively deliver a creative, professional, and co-produced project.
Essential criteria:
- Strong previous experience of successfully delivering visual arts workshops for children, young people, and/or families.
- Previous experience of co-producing creative projects with children, young people, or community audiences
- Public Liability Insurance.
To ensure the safety and security of our staff, freelancers, volunteers, and the participants we work with, Children’s Capital of Culture have a robust set of safeguarding procedures in place. If you’re applying for this commission and already hold a Basic or Enhanced DBS check, please let us know if your application.
If your application is successful, we will request to see a copy of your DBS check. If you don’t have a DBS check yet, you can still apply, but if you’re successful we’ll need to support you to complete a DBS check before this work can commence.
Fee
A fee of £175 per session of delivery will be given to the successful applicant. This includes delivery, including planning workshops. The materials used to create the banners will be covered by Children’s Capital of Culture.
