Project imescales

You’ll spend approximately one day a week working on the project from October to December 2025.

Your mini exhibition can be open to the public as a work-in-progress from October onwards, or you can decide on an official opening date with your mentor.

Fee

The successful applicant will be paid a fee of £2,000, plus £500 for materials. 

You will be awarded 50% of your cash fee upon successfully becoming our Young Artist in Residence and 50% when your exhibition opens. You’ll also get up to £500 to buy any materials you may need to create your new work.

The Young Artist in Residence programme is being run collaboratively by Children’s Capital of Culture and the Museum, Arts and Heritage service, with funding support from Arts Council England.
